Daddy don't go (a poem)

Post by Eliza on Mon Aug 10, 2009 7:01 pm

(writen by me July 26,2009)
This isn't really much of a poem , but I gave it my best shot , it's through my eyes when my dad went into the army ,and that was like when I was 4 or 5 maybe a possible 6 years of age.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daddy don't leave!
Please don't go!
Because if you do,
Who will wear the santa suit,
At christmas and say ,
Ho, Ho, Ho
Daddy don't go !
Wearing that camoflage suit!
Stay here daddy with mommy!
Stay with Rachle and me !
Daddy don't leave us all alone!
We need you here in this empty home.
Daddy don't go mommy needs you here !
Daddy don't go you are very dear.
Daddy why did you go to those sandy deserts?
Why did you stop sending letters every week?
Daddy why was mommy crying when she opened that last letter?
Daddy tell me please .
Daddy where are you ?
You said you'd be home by now?
Daddy why does mommy want want me to wear a black dress?
Now I know daddy .
Now I know why we're at the grave yard.
Now I Know why I was to dress in black .
Now I know why you didn't send letters.
Now I know why mommy cried.
It was because you died.
Daddy why did you have to leave?
I guess now I just have these memories .
But daddy you missed so much .
Most of all you missed my spirit getting crushed.
