Hello!!

Hi, I was invited many months ago on RolePlayGateway.com to join this site and I promptly made an account, but since then I have been pretty much plagued with school work and was forced to abandon such wonderful things as online roleplaying to focus more on my schoolwork. But now I finally have time to roleplay and write, so I decided to make my presence known.

I am ButterflyMoon, but you can call me Butterfly, or Kiers because occassionally on other sites I use the name "Kierstoast" and I respond equally to both, it doesn't matter to me. I have had an extreme love of writing since the age of eight and have been attempting to improve my writing skills in the eight years that have passed since then. I prefer realistic types of roleplaying, normally in a high school type of setting, but I am open to any and all types of writing and am always willing to broaden my horizons. The whole point of joining roleplaying communities for me is to improve the quality of it and practice my style so I would always love criticism and suggestions.

I plan to post a topic within the next few days in the forum for one-on-one roleplays to get a story going, and I hope to begin making my niche on this site. It is formatted quite nicely, and from the few roleplays I've read I can see that all of you are brilliant writers. I can't wait to get started!! Smile

Say, that middle quote in your signature? I'd be willing to bet money that it's a quote from yourself? Very Happy

Welcome to FoG! If you are looking for a place to practice writing then you have come to the right spot. We have a lot of good writers running around here and soon you will fit right in. I usually hang around the goof off section (Forum games) which is a neat place to get to know your fellow FoGers. Anyway I hope to see you around.

And yes you have brilliant instincts, that middle quote is written by myself. . . I like mixing together idioms on occassion. Thank you immensely for the compliment!!! >///<

It's a pleasure to welcome you to FoG, ButterflyMoon! It sounds like you're quite the gifted writer, seeing as you've been writing since age eight. No joke, I've read papers from some of my college peers that aren't nearly as solid in mechanics and sentence structure as your intro post. You've definitely come to the right place to improve your writing; I know it's definitely helped me! Enjoy your stay!

Ah, welcome to FoG, Kiers! I too hail from RolePlayGateway.com and I think I did the same as you. It took me a little while to actually give FoG a go, but I was definitely glad when I did!

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying yourself so far! You said you were looking to improve and you have found the perfect place to do so. I hope you continue to find FoG to your liking. Aww
