I know, most original introduction title ever... I, as I'm sure some of you will come to learn, suck at coming up with names for things. Naming a character usually takes me about the same time as creating a bio. But aside from that, I'm pretty damn good. (Feel free to quote that to make fun of my future mistakes. I love irony.)

Anyway, here's my experience... I've been doing roleplaying games of various types for about ten years, including tabletop games, video games, and forums. Specifically, I've played some in-character talk only D&D games and did quite a bit of in-game roleplaying while playing World of Warcraft. I've stopped playing both games and moved on to forums. I'm a member of a lot of them now... Chances are, if you've seen someone named Jorick on another roleplaying forum, it's probably me.

So, I think that's it. Hello people of FOG, I hope to find some fun games to join soon.

Lol no worries about the title. Introduction titles especially are a pain to be original with. I like your confidence.

That's neat that you've been involved in tabletop games in addition to just role-playing online. I never really tried role-playing in WoW, but I did enjoy it in the Lord of the Rings Online. :]

Hah, I have the same problem when it comes to characters. The name has to feel just right for me to keep it, and that often takes me ages to figure out. It doesn't have to mean anything, but it has to fit.

Welcome to FOG, Jorick. WoW has comprised a lot of my more "recent" RP experience too - though not so much ingame as forum-wise. I'm afraid I don't recognize the name, but that doesn't mean much - my travels across the RP forums are rather limited, to say the least.

And I certainly won't quote you from here for any future mistakes, because then I'd feel oh-so-obligated to turn the spotlight on my own - and they'll probably be far more numerous... >.> <.<

Well then, I think I've got the suggested mix of horror and curiosity. Luckily, the former outweighs the latter by a lot, so I can set the idea aside and never, ever think about it again...

And I know he said it was crappy, but come on. A stripper intro? I expect something like that to be at least sort of epic. I hyped it up too much in my own mind is all.

I acknowledge it when my intros suck. -_-

Welcome to FOG!

I always thought WOW was a ready-made distraction for RP'ers, because it's all the things many of us love without the downside of RPG's, such as having to get together, roll dice or wait on other people to post...you know, it was there, always ready.

I never got into any MMORPG's, though. I can appreciate that there are a lot of people actually signing off WOW to focus themselves, even though I have nothing against WOW myself.

Anyway, I hope you find some good opportunities to write in here.
