Is it just me...

Or does the search bar not work at all.

Basically, everytime I search for something that I know should be found, I get "Information: No topics or posts met your search criteria" message. For example, if I search IRC (which is not a common word, and should bring up the FOG IRC thread and/or posts) I get that message!

It's really annoying when I can't manually find what I'm looking for.

I just tested it by searching for 'webcammin' and the appropriate thread did come up...but it's really finicky.

I did the same thing to see if it's just me and got NOTHING. ):

It's not a very advanced search, that's for sure. You basically have to type in exactly the right word(s). There is a more "advanced" search here though, where you can narrow your findings down.

It doesn't always seem to work at the quality I would like, but I really have no control over it.

Yeah that search doesn't work well for me either.

I have Firefox's Awesome Bar, so I don't really have to worry about it.
I just type "aura," for example, to get the roleplay "Aura: Daughter of Light."
Or I type "seph oo 7" to get the Sephiris: The Price of Peace OOC - Page 7.

So if I typed "webc," into there, it would take me straight to it. If I had other webcam-type places I've visited, I could just type "foo webc" and that'd be all I need to get the "footstepsofghosts.com" webcam topic. ^_^

So, if you get Firefox or you have the latest version already, you probably don't even need to search for stuff like that anymore. Give it a try; trust me, it's awesome!

What do you mean, FireFox's awesome bar? I'm kind of confused. Is that an application for FireFox, or do you just mean that if you've visited a page, you can type the title of that page into the url bar, and it'll bring it up?
