OOOOH Nice! The expression is fine. Her hair is black as she is Oriental.

The under tunic (which is dark blue now should be white. The sash can be the light blue just for contrast. And yes, the capelet should be red in the main part, orange where it's lighter and with yellow or gold as trim

The book should go. Her weapons are shadows or large steel-edged war fans. But if those are too tough to include I don't mind. She is a martial artist and not a combat-heavy fighter.

I'm not at home so I can't continue right now, but do me a favor and find me a picture of a large steel edged war fan so I can either give it a shot, or let kalon do so. The rest, I will get done tomorrow, probably

Alright Digi, Here is what I've got:




Gold trim wasn't working out, so I tried going with gold detailing. If you don't like it, I can easily remove it and it will go back to just red.

You didn't provide and image of a fan, so I just took the liberty of looking one up. I don't know if it was what you were going for or not, but it was the only one that looked like a weapon and not just a fabric fan.

*claps madly. No no! It's all just awesome! War fans are usually huge; spaning 4-5 feet. But that'd be ridiculous to try to pull off. Just getting *any* fan in the picture tickles me to death.

The trim on her cape is just fine too, the color is enough of a contrast to the red that it can be seen very well. Perfect!

I'm glad you like it; to be honest, I wasn't sure I could pull this one off! The only way to make the fan true to its size would be to put her arm behind her back and have it coming out from behind her; That is something I don't think I can do, so just as well you like this version

Well, I guess at this point...I'm done! Until we hear from Loki, Sunwolf or plague.

Wasn't there talk about using the picture below our character descriptions as a possible background? I think Loki suggested it when we first talked about the character portraits, but I don't remember if we reached a consensus or not.

Yes we did with different colors to denote what sort of Essence user they were, I believe. But, again, I don't know what we ever decided in the end.

I could do that; 'twould be a piece of cake. ^^ I could even make a more professional-looking edge to it and maybe give it a drop shadow. Think that'd be cool?

Ooooh...that would be really great, Kalon! I went and dug up our previous conversation about background colors, and I like Muse's idea of Summoners, Users, and Manipulators having different background colors to denote which type of Essence user our characters are. Muse suggested violet for Summoners because their summoned objects are violet and black, green for Users, and blue for Manipulators. Anyone else have suggestions? Or we could all keep it the same and use the green picture as is. Personally, I like both violet and green, so it's a win-win either way

Hrm...out of the two, I think I prefer Ryona's beard. Second is too...poofy on the sides, if that makes sense. Kalon, you think you could add the warhammer and eyes to that one for me?And maybe smooth out the headband a bit if possible, that would be great.

Gold sounds cool, and it'd give us the full spectrum, kinda. ^^ Still, in the profile it says she's Manipulator type, so I dunno. I'll let you guys decide, I guess.

I'll have to retouch Owen, since I forgot about the bright blue eyes.

WOW! Those backgrounds look really cool! But I'm a little worried that the whole image is a little more...squareish...than the rectangular space for people's avatars. I'm wondering if shrinking and squeezing it to the avatar dimensions would make the portraits look funny? I suppose you could always trim a little off the left and right margins because you've got some space before the outermost columns, but I'll leave that to the professionals to decide ^_^

They weren't meant as avatars, which in hindsight was silly of me. What I did was take the original image in the RP and base the dimensions on that. Know what it would be awesome for, though? Putting in posts!

I could easily do an avatar-dimensions version, though, totally.
