Sooo... um.

I haven't been on in a while. Not sure if that's gone noticed or not. I've been really busy dealing with what seems to be one suck after another. My girlfriend and I broke up like a week and a half ago, which isn't so much a big deal now, but still hindered my drive . A week later, which was just this Friday everything I've owned was thrown out. We're talking over $5,000 worth of stuff, and a lot of sentimental items. My bed, couches, dressers, desk, TV, Xbox/games, Playstation/games, 100+ comics, 50+ DVDs, a 150cc Scooter, my desk top computer with a book I've been writing stored on it, my grandfather's wedding band he gave to me before he passed away, school ring, yearbooks 1 - 12, trophies, pictures, and you get the drift, EVERYTHING I'VE OWNED!

Basically due to some last minute changes in my living situation (my one room mate getting back with his wife, and the other getting his girl friend pregnant) I was forced to move back in with my parents about three months ago. My parents not having a room for me I had to put my things somewhere, and the most logical and simplest thing seemed to store it in the garage my roomys and I were renting through the complex where we were staying. The idea was one of my room mates was getting a one bedroom at the same apartment complex, and we were just going to switch the garage over to his new apartment. I and my buddy went up to the front office to have this done and we kept getting the run around. Finally a month ago my friends girl friend (the pregnant one) goes to drop off the rent check and she mentions the garage, and the office lady (same one that's been giving us the run around) says that she's taken care of it and they should be getting billed for it next month.

WEEEELLLL, that didn't happen. Next month is this month and two weeks ago they cleared out my garage. The story is all a mess from here with blood, sweat, tears, and me cracking a lot of skulls LOL! Not really, but it is a mess. Needless to say I'm now talking with some sort of legal representative for the complex's corporate office and she wants me to settle out of court.

Soooo... um. I'm kidda back now.

You lost all that stuff? For what? I don't really understand why you had to give up that comic collection, your yearbooks, and your freaking class ring! I would never give that up! Why was it thrown out again? -_-

They trashed it, bro (I'm sure some of it was taken). They called it "Abandoned Property" and they junked it without calling anyone to come claim it. I didn't have a choice, I didn't even know until this last Friday.

Maaaaan what a leveler. I don't know what I would do if everything I owned was trashed like that.

We're here for you, HD, as much as a bunch of words with people behind them can be.
To be tossed back to square one, as it were, just like that....
Perhaps this heralds some turning point in your life. It could just be a horrible misfortune, but you never know. These things naturally have a way of bringing about abrupt and significant changes.

Oh my God, Danger... I'm so sorry! Why would they do that? They threw all your things out? That's terrible!! I'd be SO pissed. You better do something about that. At least you're talking to a legal representative.

I'm sorry all that has been happening to you and that you and your girlfriend ended up breaking up as well.

I hope that something gets done about all your things and that you're at least compensated for them. But, wow, welcome back.

Thank you, Fate. I'm trying to stay positive and keep my head up. Yeah, they threw my stuff out because they said it was abandoned and someone else wanted to rent the garage, yet my friend and I had been trying to rent the fucker for months! I still think the maintenance men took some of my shit, but they're denying it!

If this legal lady and I can't come to a nice figure for the settlement then I'm taking their ass to court for real!

You could always go for a web based one if you're really that uncomfortable with downloading one. I use Meebo.com when I don't have a messenger. Of course, I use Trillian instead of anything else for my messenger. It doesn't have spyware.
