Customer service is a joke...the worst part for me was when I would get in trouble for following the rules...such as not letting a person use an expired coupon. They say "call the manager", then the manager gives them what they want. So...when I decide to just allow them to do it, since I know the manager would let them anyway, I get in trouble. -_-

Sick isn't it? And to think it was "their" rules you were following. Very Happy

Then again, since it's "theirs", it's probably okay for them to be the ones to break it.
Life can be a bitch but we all got to live it... (hmm... that doesn't sound right.)

Some people are just plain bitches. (That's better!) Wink

Oh yeah, I complain about... nahhh! better not.

That sucks, but truthfully it really doesn't surprise me. :/

I complain about the numerous ignorant people out there that get pissed off when I point out their lack of diversity in music when they claim Claudia Sanchez has a better vocal range than anyone else.

Ugh! Ryona, I know. That lady with the expired coupon was allowed to have it honoured by my supervisor...

I complain that this entire day has been a joke... one, long, sad, painful joke. It's a really long complaint, so I'm just going to spoiler it.

Spoiler:
First, I leave my house about half an hour early because of a lapse in brain processing.

Then, I go to Everybody's because they have a UPS drop box. The box would not fit in the thing. This wouldn't be so bad if today hadn't been the very last day that I could return the freaking router because of how weird my schedule has been for work. Unless they mean business days, but I bet they're going to be jerks and count the weekend. They're awesome like that.

Oh, as I was pulling into the parking lot at Everybody's, I ran over this freaking chunk of dirty ice that is like a rock. They're like those things that fall from the bottoms of cars in areas where it snows a lot and becomes icy. I thought I popped my tire.

When I got into the Hy-Vee parking lot, I checked the tire, and it looked low, so I started airing it up, but it wasn't doing anything, so I was absolutely convinced that I was going to have a flat tire when I got off work.

Okay... so I read until I had to clock-in which wasn't bad, but I was worrying about my review the whole time.

Apparently, I was the only courtesy person scheduled for today which made me realize why Casey was so thoroughly desperate to find someone to work that he asked me to do it. I was scheduled to be a cashier for six hours, but I'm pretty much the only person who's malleable enough to work as either courtesy or checker because today's a school day for the high schoolers.

Yeah. I lost an hour, and I had to clear the cart corrals three times in a row. I actually enjoy getting carts, but while the rest of the parking lot was clear of snow and slush, the lot under the corrals themselves were so thoroughly covered that it really wiped me out trying to clear them.

I was starving, too, and I ended up spilling my Red Machine Naked Juice ((those things are amazing)) on my sleeve. Thank goodness I wore the blue shirt and not the white one today. Yeah... I was pretty self-conscious because there was this lavender looking stain on the sleeve before I ever got to get to the review.

I also learned that while Dennis is a pretty awesome supervisor, he tends to rate all categories incredibly low when he does reviews, giving me even more about which to stress...

Turns out, yes, he does rate low. You're never supposed to rate yourself above what they rate you, but I did that most of the time... sort of...

I received a 3/2, 2, 3/2, 4, and 3 ((where the scale is one through five)). There are five categories. I only matched him perfectly twice with the four and the three. I had threes where he gave me the 3/2's and a 3 where where he gave me a two.

I was actually really relieved, though... From what I had heard, he gives people full-blown 2's all the time. 3/2 isn't so bad. Also, as far as Attendance/Accountability/On-Time...ness... goes, I received a four which was what I gave myself. I'm always early unless the weather ruins it, and I accept a lot of shifts when they need them to be filled. Over all, the review wasn't as bad as I expected, but the fact that I rated myself higher than her rated me once was a bummer... You never want to do that...

After that, everything was pretty cool. They're just like, "Yeah... Don't read your book on the clock any more, even when they're counting your drawer. Go bag groceries or do something productive." which was understandable. I had kind of worried that maybe I'd get into trouble for the whole book thing. I'm an addict... While Dennis blatantly told me he didn't care when Tressa left the room, he said that they being the store manager and the two managers under him ((him being the store manager, not Dennis who is just a supervisor)) get irritated about it.

Anyway, yeah... My day sucked, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. It just felt like Karma was kicking me hard throughout the day with one little thing after the other.

Spoiler:
I feel sick... My stomach is pissed at me. I've exerted myself way too much over the past couple weeks with pushing cars about, shoveling snow, losing too much sleep...

It's been so long since I've felt the nauseous discomfort of wanting to vomit, and I'm afraid that if I so much as stand and try to walk, I'll either lose the small thread of control that's helping me keep it down or I'll get dizzy and fall.

I never get sick. I hate this feeling. I wanted to eat something good for lunch since I didn't eat much of anything yesterday, but now I'm afraid of what will happen.

[Sighs.]

Surprisingly, it feels good to complain. All the same, I'd prefer if no one responds to it. Sometimes I just need to rant a bit in a public space for the comfort of knowing that someone will be aware of it.

Hug for Weiss.

I'll complain that Kathryn has given me a new addiction-bordering-on-obsession. I read about it in the web comic thread on here, so I took a look at it. It's called The Phoenix Requiem and it is absolutely amazing!

The creator even lives in the same country and state as me. Aww

I'm trying to pace out reading it, because it only updates twice a week but it's so hard... I just got up to the 4th Volume.

Curse you Kathryn!

Bwahahah! I love to spread ze addictions!

I had a really hard time pacing myself, too, and I was sorry when I got myself up to date. However, I was kind of glad that I did because she has little blurbs about her updates on the main page, but only two show at a time, so yeah. She also does an art thing, so if you vote for her, you get to see a piece of whatever painting or whatever she's creating which is nice.

I complain that we now have all of this great food in our house, but I'm too full to eat some of it. ._.

I complain that there are still two weeks until I get to see my love again... It's dragging...

I'm all set up to graduate in the spring. I wish I felt more accomplished. Five years ago this was the dream. Now it feels like nothing...

I guess it is true what they say.

My favorite teacher from high school said it, but I don't think he's the original creator. It's so true though, at least for me.

I...complain that my body is being ravaged by incompatible hormones that I'm trying to force into compatibility because I can't afford the birth control that is compatible with my body…nor can I afford to get pregnant…nor can I afford to abstain from sex with my husband (well, OK, I just don’t want to abstain. But still.)

Razz

So I'm taking bioarchaeology online, and I sent in my second project progress report weeks ago...and I've been waiting for the graded response before I finish my project. The project is due in a week and my teacher still hadn't gotten it to me, so I finally emailed him and asked what was up. Turns out he never received it, even though I have a time stamped message in my outbox, complete with attachment!!! -_-

I hate the internet sometimes...

American high-school girls within my age group annoy me. Their hormones cloud their judgement, and combine that with their lack of logical thought processes (and their inability to process the fact that I'M JUST AN ASSHOLE and they CONSTANTLY TRY TO MAKE ME NOT BE AN ASSHOLE) and you have a pissed-off, depressed Cypher.

Honestly, why did I even think abandoing my reclusive nerd lifestyle for an insane, over-the-top psychotic normal person was a good idea?

I've had similar issues with email, Ryona. At least you still have the paper, right? You can just email it to him again.

Cypher, high school girls are horrible sometimes. I know... I used to be one... You just have to try to find the right ones that are more logical and less drama ((not of the theatre variety)) oriented.

I complain that my head aches.

I also complain that I just didn't have time for Caligo, and now that I'm involved in Emoria, I have even less time for it.

Aww. Thanks, Ryona.

I also hate that whole, "I don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die." bullshit comment. People are such douche-bags sometimes. I'm not a feminist by any means, but I don't think that women should encourage that kind of behavior.

Melancholy, I feel for you on that. I am anal retentive about the care of my books, CD's, and movies. I don't like to loan them to others because they never know how to take care of things.

I once lent a book to a friend that didn't have a dust jacket, and it was red with a white spine. The spine is now a dirty grey/brown. It's disgusting, and I'm quite unhappy about it.
