Hew, new here.

Hey everyone. I just joined this forum. It's a relief to know I can role play with people who are focused on quality, however it is a little intimidating 'cause of course I have to worry about sucking and what not.. Lol, but anyway, that's probably just me being paranoid.

I have role played before, but it's been a long time since then. I'm nineteen now, but when I was in middle school and early high school, I was pretty into the whole role play scene. I've always been into writing as well, but I've always been more musically inclined so it kind of always took a back seat to that as I got older.

I'm still into music but I really want to get into writing again, and I think role play forums are a great way to exercise that skill. It's also just fun. I love fantasy, video games, anything of that nature.

Anyway, I guess I'll just look around more, and join something whenever I'm ready. That's it I guess.

Once you get back into the swing of things I'm sure your writing will be just fine. If not, we don't bite, hard. On a final note, I also like music, but am not musically inclined (Tone deaf, music deaf, lack of ability to play any musical instrument). I prefer listening to it. xD

We also like to see new faces who enjoy quality work. I'm certain you'll only improve from here. Do you play an instrument or do you sing or both? Personally, I'm terrible with instruments, and I can only sing if I can hear someone singing with me so I can keep pitch with them. XD

Welcome to FOG! It's always wonderful to find more people that care about writing. Kathryn said it perfectly though -- There's no need to feel intimidated. All of us always have room for improvement, and I think that an environment such as this is great for doing just that!

I hope that you have fun getting back into role-playing again. It's awesome that you've been doing it since middle school on-and-off. :]

Hey, thanks for the warm welcomes guys.

Kathryn - I've been playing piano since I was around 8, or something like, I don't even remember at this point lol. That's my main instrument, although I've played percussion all throughout middle school in high school in band. And I was in choir all four years too. I know how to sing, and I'm sure no one would vehemently object to hearing my voice, but I don't really classify myself as a singer lol. I enjoy it though.

Stion - Straight? o_o -feels dumb- In what way? I assume you don't mean sexual orientation lol, I dunno how that would make sense.

Fate - I was really big into the anime community online in middle school, particularly Sailor Moon. I had the websites and crap like that lol, I was epically nerdy. Of course role playing was somewhere in the mix. I was never the best with keeping up with RP's because anything vaguely related to homework or otherwise requiring some kind of schedule or discipline was not my strong suit. I'd like to think I'm a bit better at that now, heh.

I just feel the need to clarify that general Gorgons couldn't turn people into stone. Medusa had a curse put on her that made her have snake hair ((so they would bite her face all the time)) and stone-gaze. ^^_^^
