Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I did indeed have a good birthday. I will tell you about it.

We do birth-weeks.
It's my fault. I watched Last Exile a few years ago, and *ping!* the tradition was born.
Anyway we're in the middle of mine, so no need to worry about belated-ish-ness.

On the eve of my birthday, my friends and family conspired together to FINALLY catch me into a surreptitious, devious, PREMEDITATED surprise party.
It was awesome.
Usually I don't fall for surprise parties, but this one had me totally fooled. A couple of my siblings and I were going to one of my friends' apartment for a game night. Little did I know: my other friend, along with the REST OF MY FAMILY, arrived shortly after we did, and then the "real" party began. They had prearranged the whole thing, and set about revealing all the little clues they accidentally let slip. Clues which I missed.

I knew they were up to SOMETHING, but I didn't suspect the big surprise. It was great!

The following days haven't been quite as stupendous, but I do get to lord it over everyone and keep my birthday privileges for quite a while. Birth-weeks are the best. xD

As for presents, I got mostly money--which I prefer--and with it I bought a DSi. I got white. We were going to trade in our other DS, but thank God we forgot our charger! We couldn't trade it in without it, and we were SO GLAD WE DIDN'T when we got home. A real "what were we thinking????" moment.

Anyway one of the friends I mentioned is also making a shiny laptop for me. (weeell not JUST me; he's paying off a lot of our birthdays with this xD.) He's really tricking it out with memory and programs and things. It's gonna be shiny! [oh yeah, we recently saw ALL of Firefly]

And I got ice cream! Some kind of cookie-dough. It's like those ice cream sandwich bars. Reeeally good. And no cake! xD I finally did it! A birthday without cake!
I've always preferred ice cream to cake, and this year, at last, *sings* I... goooot it thaaaat-uh waaaay...!

So, very nice birthweek so far.
If you guys have any suggestions for what I should do for the remaining days, do please pipe up!

Ugh! I had no idea it was Kalon's birthday we were well-wishing! Not everyone is in on the inside jokes and nicknames. Next time, say exactly about whom you're referring. ^;_;^
