Heavy Rain
For those of you who don't know Heavy Rain is a PS3 exclusive. Here is a trailer for said game.
As for how the game is...let me say this. OHHHHHH MYYYYYY GOOOOOOODDDDDD

Ok I'm all better. But truly this has got to be one of the most engrossing games of all time. A powerful story about love and the sacrifices we are willing to make for it. The game starts off with a slow but necessary day in the life and life changing event (which I won't spoil.) of Ethan Mars. But once this game takes off it leaves you breath less emotionally drained and, depending on the ending you get for yourself, rejuvenated by seeing the power of love or completely depressed by the worst of human nature. The characters are beautiful, not just visually but emotionally. They are full for strengths and flaws and you grow to CARE about them. How much? Let's put it this way I had to pause the game, and at one point shut it off completely for the day because the choices I was faced with. This is revolutionary video gaming guys. If you just want a shoot 'em up with mindless space marines, move on and maybe not ever talk to me again. XD But if you want a glimpse of just how powerful this medium can be. Get. This. Game.

I love the possibilities of video gaming as a storytelling medium, so I would definitely pick up Heavy Rain.
However. I lack a PS3, so I will definitely have to mug someone and play it on theirs, or something.

Yeah, it looks sweet. Something out of the ordinary from what I've observed. But as all the above posts - I don't have a PS3 either. I've always been a firm PC user myself, ever since I left the NES behind. Still, with so many console exclusives coming out nowadays, I should probably start considering buying one.
