Re: Final Fantasy XIII
So where is everyone chapter wise? I just got to Chapter 12. Then I improved my weapons and found out that by changing them to new ones it cut down half their power. It was not fun getting wailed on by things I could destroy only a few seconds ago. So now I got to find a bunch of stuff to upgrade my stuff again. Oh well at least I will get a lot of CP points.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
... still chapter 6. Due to studying and the fact that I don't own a flatscreen, let alone an HD (ready) television, I can hardly read the font, which makes playing also a lot less fun...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
Today I just went around battling a bunch of things for items and CP points so I didn't progress the storyline. I am close to maxing out the three starting roles on all the characters but I think the crystorium is going to be expand again. I don't know if it is or not in chapter 13 but I think it will be so I am getting ready. So does anyone else find Hope's lack of HP a huge problem when using him? I find that he is quite useless because of his low HP. I know he has a really high magic stat but how can he use it if he constantly needs to be in medic mode making sure he stays alive?

Guess so dude! I'm tired of playing... maybe I'll wait for my new screen to arrive before I continue playing...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
i really like the visuals, and from what i can tell, the story.. ive just bought the game a month ago and only had time to get to where snow stayed back to stick with serah, his newly crystalized girlfriend. or whatever.
My xbox died... and i can say that i don't miss the game. I wanted to like it. I wanted to love it. I just dont think i like any of the characters enough, other than Snow and Sazh. The story sounded cool with the Pulse L'Cie and stuff, what little i understood of it. Its just the slow combat+inability to connect with characters rendered the game a little stale for me. Because if i can't enjoy a game for the characters, at least give me some more interesting combat.... But alas, i wont be able to give the game a second chance for a while. so. well see.
[waits for a beating xD]

I quit playing. Disappointed. Not a classic FF game and I MISS THE DAMN TOWNS!!! Have the feeling they concentrated too much on the story and characters (which are good, except for that annoying Hope and Vanille) and on visuals, and forgot about the rest of the game, about that what makes an FF game an FF game. Nope, I don't miss it either.

Damn you all! I should have never listened to you people! lol!
I rented FFXIII, going off of what I read in here it seemed like a good idea to at least check it out. I can't stand it! It's like a bad anime!
With dialog like:
"Heroes' don't run away from a fight!"
and
"Mom's are tough."
o.O
Really?
I have the game for like 3 more days. Give me hope to keep playing it...

I bought it. I'm glad I did. I'm thoroughly enjoying myself, especially finding the enterweaving of everyone's past into one massive storm of shit.
Oh, and Sazh is awesome. Makes my day everytime he speaks.
"But the bird says no. The bird says no."
Just fantastic.

Hope you continue to enjoy it, Plague. xD
Personally I've had a lot more fun playing Resonance of Fate.

I want to buy it now that I hear its amazing! I played one of the earlier games (One of the ones between FF3-FF7) and it was alright but I didn't actually own it so I wouldn't know.
If you haven't played the previous games does it matter to the storyline? Cause I don't feel like playing even one game before this one if I were to pick it up tomorrow.

No, it doesn't matter. None of the stories build off of each other (at least not significantly). The only exception is Final Fantasy X and X-2, as far as I know.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
You know I STILL haven't beaten this game! I don't know too many awesome games have been coming out at the same time and then I get side tracked with all of my friends continuously wanting me to play Modern Warfare and well....I'm pretty sure you all know how that is. MW is like FPS crack; very addicting. XD
I'm probably about to pick this up again though because I know things were really getting interesting when I stopped. I can't recall what chapter I was on but I was pretty close to the end and all the running around on that stupid ship was pissing me off.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
I love Hope lol what's with all the Hope haters? Vanille definately is annoying, though...
I'm on the last chapter, trying to complete all the mini quests. I would have been done last month if it wasn't for tests.
