PREMISE

The Mandalorian Wars are over. Malachor V is in ruins.
This Story will span four years' time between 3960 BBY and 3956 BBY.
From Malachor V to the destruction of the Star Forge.

We're still working on ironing out the opening prologue and the story itself. We need to make sure all this dovetails with the rest of Star Wars canon.

OUT OF THE DARKNESS, INTO THE FORGE

It is the year 3,959 BBY; the Mandalorian Wars are over. The Mandalorians are disarmed and disbanded. Malachor V is fractured to the core. During the battle of Malachor V, many Jedi were killed. Under the immense weight of dark energy that emanated from the planet, the surviving Jedi were persuaded to follow Revan to the Dark Side of the Force. After the battle, Revan and Malak left known space, taking the Dark Jedi and a third of the remaining Republic ships with them.

The only surviving Jedi that did not follow Revan now returns to the Jedi Academy on Coruscant. By severing her bond with the Force, she saved her own life as well as avoided the influence of the Dark Side. The Jedi Council, however, fear the wound in the Force that surrounds her. In addition, because she not only followed Revan into war, but also symbolizes the many Jedi that have fallen to the Dark Side throughout history, the Council have sentenced her to exile.

Derrak Qast follows the Jedi Exile to learn news of his friend, Albec Krigo, who would have been present at the battle of Malachor V. The Exile confirms that Albec survived, but that he disappeared with the others who followed Revan. Resolved to find his friend no matter the cost, Derrak seeks out an older friend, Mokoru Kalux, to help him leave Coruscant. Together they obtain permission from the Council for Qast to accompany Kalux to Nar Shaddaa. Kalux's mission is to rescue his friend, a Jedi Shadow named Leu-Mas Drof, from criminal clutches. Qast's mission -- unbeknownst to the Council -- is to search for clues to Darth Revan's location, find his friend Albec Krigo, and turn him back to the light....

Bio: Not much is known about Galadraia’s past but that she was borne on a space station, her mother was an astrophysicist and her father was a biologist of some kind. She was given the best education, how she came to work and live on the Parogus mining colony is a mystery. To her as well.

For the sake of writing O_o whatever. Can't think of the word right now, any way I think listing your Abilities like the Knights of the Old Republic game does is a good idea. It well help in the writing o_O witch I talked about above, for you and everyone else to know if. For instance your character can pick a lock or hack a computer or repair something. As well as your Force Abilities, if you have any. Like jump, push/pull, sight, mind trick etc.

It is also good to have a small but detailed bio. So that people will know if your character would pick a lock or just bash it with the butt of their gun, sword, or lightsaber. Or put a wall on it! 5.4.3.2.1...=(

Description: 6' tall, Dark brown hair below shoulders in dreadlocks, Hazel eyes, hair just past the shoulder, in dreads. He is clad in a crimson long sleeve tunic with the right sleeve cut off at the shoulder, a dark blue vest, pants and boots are black. A yellow ribbon like tattoo pointed at both ends raps three times around his right bicep and a tattoo of a triangle under his left eye pointing down, also yellow. On his right arm, from the wrist to the elbow was rapped with a strip of cloth the same color as the shirt he wore, perhaps from an old injury. His cloak was woven with blue and black threads and had the same crimson red an inch tall around the bottom, also woven with black. He has the usual things you’d see on a Jedi’s belt. There are pouches for various things and containers for food pellets. But what was different about his belt was a leather tube like holster on the right side. It was angled up with the open facing front, so the lightsaber could be drawn and returned quickly and easily.
Personality: Calm, Collected, Pleasant of face yet Fierce of eye, Seeks diplomacy but is not afraid to resort to "aggressive negotiations."
Skills: Computer, Security, Demolition, Repair, Heal and Stealth
Force Abilities: Force push/pull, mind trick, lightning, speed, jump, heal, force cloak and psychometry - the ability to read memories from inanimate objects, by touching them. Including formerly animate objects like corpses. And force choke when needed.

Bio: Jedi Knight Leu-Mas Drof(loo-moss droff) is a Kiffar from the twin moons of Kiffu and Kiffex though he has never been to either. His father was from Kiffu and his mother from Kiffex, they met on Dantooine where Leu-Mas was born, which helped him to be noticed by the Jedi at a very young age, do to the Jedi Academy there.
He was trained by Master Vrook Lamar, who was constantly frustrated with him because he was always using his abilities in ways that Master Vrook said were not befitting a young Jedi. Not that he was using them in a bad way, just using them to do every day things, like to turn on lights, or to rearrange his furniture, or to reach a glass of water from across the room and in any and every place he was. As well as using his abilities for, practical jokes. Like turning off a light, or moving a char as someone was about to sit, or moving a glass of water when someone reached for it. Not the dark side, but still a misuse as Master Vrook kept telling him.

“Your abilities are a gift Leu-Mas, you must learn to use them to Help Others, not amuse yourself at their expense.”

Other than that Leu-Mas was an excellent student, excelling in everything he did, slowly and painfully at times. His skills with a lightsaber excelled as well, he learned Shii-Cho(form 1) very quickly and then Shien(form 5) in the same amount of time, though he much liked Ataru(form 4), allowing a Jedi to exceed standard norms of physical abilities. He never liked Niman(form 6), and Juyo(form 7) was his favorite. However he took the things he liked from the forms and created his own witch he used most of his life, he called it “form VIII”, although it was never adopted as a true lightsaber form. Because of its difficulty to learn, and because he created it, it was most suited for him. He never became a master because the council thought he was to unorthodox in his ways, and there were "other" things that the council did not approve of.

Unorthodox in his choice of lightsaber crystals as well. He was a Jedi Consular but instead of a green crystal he chose a quite different one. He had found a crystal in a cave somewhere in a valley just south of the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine. A very rare, Black crystal. Witch when placed in a lightsaber, it seemed to connect with the person wielding it, through the force. And the blade emitted the very color of his or her sole, as it would change color when ignited by someone else. As well it heighten there sense of timing and accuracy, as if the crystal was actually directing the Jedi’s hand and giving its user a deeper connection to the force. Or so he had been told by the council, and they were weary of it because they didn’t know what other affects it might have on it’s user “good or bad”. And something ells that concerned the council was the color of this young Jedi’s sole. It was blue, not the typical color used by a Consular, witch was not a bad thing. But the color of Leu-Mas’ lightsaber was such a dark blue, that most of the time it looked black.

He focused on telekinesis quite heavily in his training, in fact he had become so proficient in it he could move almost any object he wished, and focus the energy around his arm strong enough to block a lightsaber(perhaps the reason for the the bandage on his arm). He was also very proficient in using the force to affect peoples minds.

His ship is called Dragûner(dru-goon-er) or as he calls it "the dragon". Its a light freighter class, length 34 meters width 40 meters. It was a fast ship, .5 Hyperdrive and maximum speed in atmosphere is 1,200 km/h. It was also heavily armed. His crew usually consisted of his T4 astro-droid who he called Toby, after as older student at the academy named Tobin Locost(low-cawst) who used to bossed him around when they were little. Now, he was the boss. His usual copilot was a Rodina named Zakith(zac-ith). Not to say that Leu-Mas wasn’t a good pilot, in fact he had considerable skill and on missions that required more, stealth. He would fly ahead in a one man fighter he designed called the Silverfish.

In addition to his darkly-toned Jedi robes, Mokoru wears long black gloves -- for no major reason, except perhaps to fudge the line of Jedi dress by adding a touch of personalized fashion... and because he'd rather not get his hands dirty. Mokoru's lightsaber is light blue.
Personality: Mokoru is mischievous and cunning, yet at the same time understanding and sophisticated. He holds the proper order and rightness of things in high regard, but he also knows exactly how to bend the rules to avoid breaking them. He appreciates art and music as much as he appreciates action. He loves a good song as much as he loves a good adventure, a good game, a good race, or a good fight. Despite his oft-brazen manner, Mokoru is generally sensitive toward others and has a flair for the heroic.

standing around 5'6'', Shay doesn't seem to be much a threat. She has black hair that is cut longer in the front, and shorter in the back. It's parted off centered, and seems to be feathery in the back. She has thin black eyebrows above deep violet eyes. She has slight and feminine features, being slim and average height. She has one of two appearances. Her most seen appearance is a full robe/cloak. Having a slight camouflaged pattern, colors of dark warm grays and neutral colors, depending on the terrain around her. A major component is that it has stealth capabilities, able to render whatever is beneath the cloak invisible. About midsection height in the front, the cloak is split down to the feet to allow better mobility. She also wears a mask underneath the cloak's hood. It's matte black and appears to have a 'beak'. This often gives her an appearance of a crow or bird.... The eyes have a night vision, as well as thermal vision capabilities, with a 4x zoom optional.

Other than this, her casual gear includes a jet black shoulder cape, and a long blackened armless cloak. She wears a black torn shirt underneath that has 3/4 length sleeves. Upon her hands she wears standard black flight gloves.She has a thick belt holding a lightsaber, and a small pouch holding random slicing necessities. She wears a black hip duster/dress{suggested it's her stealth cloak folded in half and inside out} with black leather shorts. Her boots are soft, and thigh length, are slightly raised at the heel, and have an open toe. Sometimes she also adorns a tattered scarf that hides her lower face.

Skills: combat piloting, infiltration, personal combat, mechanics, slicing, observing and reconnaissance
Force Powers: Push, Pull, jump, speed, comprehension, illusion, mind trick, absorb, limited heal.
Personality: She's direct and succinct. Saya is outwardly cold, and bitter. Despite being seen as sith, she is disciplined, loyal, and polite, yet seems to follow her own agenda. This bit of mystery seems to keep everyone at bay.
Bio: Saya was taken by the jedi at birth, like most, and was set into training into her apprenticeship. As a youngling, she was placed into a clan, and learned quickly. She was one of the more prominent younglings, and quickly received tutelage under a young jedi knight. She became enthralled by another Jedi, Revan, the Revanchist, whom she knew in passing. Considering he was off and on duty most the time. She heard much of his campaign for the Mandalorian wars, and got her master involved with the protesting.

The mandalorian wars began, after begrudgingly agreed upon by the council, and Saya's master was greatly involved, however not pulling Shay into the fray just yet. Saya herself didn't get involved with Revan until Malachor V. She was part of a long range recon patrol going behind enemy lines and relaying vital information back to the command points. She launched from a cruiser in space under heavy fire, displaying her finely tuned piloting ability, she was able to make it planetside without any major damage to her small fighter. Following her master's lead, she even took down a few mandalorian ships herself. It wasn't until she was planetside where she got herself noticed. She displayed intense infiltration and splinter tactics, inserting herself into heavily armored encampments and disabling battery fire from inside. She was a prospect for the Jedi Shadows, however she kept denying the Sentinal's recruitment techniques. During the battle's end, Saya and her unit watched as the superweapon was activated in space... Despite knowing Revan had something to do with it, she was compelled to follow him... Her master, however, had been lost in the chaos of the battles previous....

Saya now follows closely under the proclaimed dark Lord Revan, and his apprentice Malak. She, and a handful of others take assignments and train from the Two... Shadowed in secrecy.

Now, before I go much further into my droid's history, I'm thinking about essentially having him already be bought and paid for by the time we start. However, I'm not really comfortable with doing more than one character. So I was . The character I'm envisioning is almost the anti- HK-47. He's a protocol droid who had his body damaged. The scavenger who found him also had a battle droid without a working memory core. So he did what any scavenger would do, he combined them to make a functioning droid. Granted, functioning is a very, very broad term. He's not too happy with the end result, but someone else might be interested in some cheap muscle that doesn't like to actually hurt people. So, any takers?

Hmm.... I'd rather not RP this myself, due to laziness mostly, however... Would anyone like to be my Jedi's little padawan? Or ... Ooooooo!

I wanna be a young able padawan [or preferably a newly knighted jedi].... anyone wanna take him under your wing as a master?

I'll use Dastan and just change his bio contents if that's the case.

Well, I can give it a shot if no one is interested in having a homocidal C-3P0 at their beck and call. However, I'm going to have to wait until the weekend to give it some thought.

You could make an All-Player Character (APC) for your padawan if you'd like, Spectre. Or you could play him yourself if no one else wants to -- it's very very very useful having someone like that in a RP, if only because you get to do as much dialogue as you want without having to wait for other Player Characters.

As for needing a Jedi Master, how would you like to be padawan-learner to To Korin (my Kel Dor guy)? I don't have him with an apprentice yet, and I'm still working on a bio so I can work it in with yours.

Weeeelll. I'm not sure i'd want to be a padawan learner. I like the idea of being young but... What about a Padawan just before he goes through the trials of Knighthood...? I enjoy the idea of not being all powerful, however i want to display good potential... know what i'm saying?

Against his Master’s council he allied with Revan. Rami was believed to be killed in action on the planet Malachor V.

OK, I'll create the RP and make both the prologue opening and my characters' intro posts. Everybody follow suit, but let's stick to our intro posts for now. After we've done that, I think we'll have a better idea how to proceed.

We know very little of how the plot will go. All we know is what canon tells us about Revan and Malak, and we have some vague idea about the Derrak/Albec plotline. That's it. The rest is up to the role-play.

Alrighty, here I go.

Capfalcon, I think Mokoru Kalux would be JUST the sort of person who would want a battle/protocol droid. xD We can make a ship and have him on it, if you like, or I suppose H-3DO can just follow him around. Maybe Mokoru sends him on domestic errands to help him get used to doing things other than shooting, which the droid often loathes. xD

We'll probably start him on Dantooine, along with whoever else is there. Not sure what they'll do yet. And I need to finish his character sheet.

Also, you'll notice the Jedi Exile has a name.
It was necessary, for story reasons. Leu-Mas and I thought long and hard about it, and we came up with Elexis. I hope Lucas likes it. (wouldn't that be cool if we actually could get Lucas to consider it) ^^

Leu-Mas Drof will be gone for a few days on a camping trip, but that's okay because we probably won't meet his character for a little bit. Go ahead and introduce your characters and we'll see where to go from there.

I'm at a bit of a loss. The jedi that left with Revan: What exactly would they be doing? I don't want to assume anything and write something wrong... Would they be on a cruiser with Revan? Or some such thing? Or flying along with him, doing certain tasks?

I just don't want to do something outta the question for a follower of the Dark Lord.

As to your question, Spectre, Revan and Malak are down on the planet Lehon (Rekata Prime). The rest of the dark jedi are on a leviathan-class ship, along with a third of the Republic fleet. We don't know anything beyond that, so pretty much we have artistic license to make what we want, within reason.

So, that very question can be dealt with in the RP "What do we do now?" they ask in frustrated boredom as Revan and Malak abandon them in space to explore the planet. Maybe some seeds of dissent can be sown? Maybe multiple factions form? The Dark Side is famous for inner conflict, after all.

Basically we have quite a bit of elbow room to make up some cool little stories. ^^
