FOG's Domain Name Renewal /Domain Down

Hey guys,

As you probably noticed, FOG has been inaccessible through the domain name of www.footstepsofghosts.com. This is because that domain name needed to be renewed. I have done this today, and it usually takes around 24 hours for it to process and complete. Hopefully, everyone will be able to come here again using this domain name.

FYI, FOG can alternatively be accessed through the URL of http://www.footstepsofghosts.com/forum.htm

Ah, well, I see the problem's already been taken care of. I had actually just sent a global e-mail to inform the users of how to access the site using the Forumotion default URL until the forum's domain was renewed.

I found out I still had a lot of leftover credits to renew the domain name with, so I should be good to even renew again come next year, thankfully. In other words, I didn't even have to pay anything this time around, so that was a nice little surprise.

Oh, awesome. I had seen the little credits link in the CP, but I'm guessing only the Root Administrator can view or use them (which makes perfect sense, of course). That's certainly a pleasant surprise, though. One less thing we need to worry about.

Definitely. I posted the link to the Forumotion based link on FoG for Facebook, so hopefully those who have "liked" it see it. I gave the link to Hello Danger and to Silvan Arrow, but I don't really speak with anyone else outside of FoG who is readily available, so I only hope others are able to find their way to the alternate link.

Oh, wonderful, Kathryn. Thank you very much for helping spread the word! I'm sure most of our members should be finding out soon enough, either from Facebook or from Weiss' e-mail, or just through word of mouth. In any case, this should be extremely temporary, thankfully!
