Machine Flower

I recently discovered a web comic called Machine Flower that instantly caused me to desire playing an RP in that universe. Here is a quick synopsis of the comic’s story:

Machine Flower is an online graphic novel written and drawn by Pana Stamos.

In the United States of America, a catastrophic terrorist attack inspired the nation to elect a strict conservative government into power. Since then, the U.S. has enjoyed peace and prosperity. Indeed, the country recovered beautifully from its suffering and has grown into a shining utopia straight out of a 1950s television set.

To ensure lasting peace, the military is constantly developing new weapons to fight the threats from overseas. A New Jersey pharmaceutical company, Acacia Technologies, was contracted several years ago to assist in the development of genetically-engineered weapons, super-soldiers raised from childhood who would be capable of entering enemy territory with maximum stealth to execute attacks of inhuman proportion.

This project is called the Machine Flower Project.

To get the best understanding of how I was wanting this RP to play out, I urge you to read a few chapters (if not the entire story). The comic isn’t long at all and won’t take too much time to get through the entire series to date. Just to give you a general idea before you delve into the comic, we will be playing as the test subjects who are still undergoing experimentation. These experiments instill subjects with a wide selection of abilities from inhuman strength to telepathy and everything in between, but are very brutal and have a considerable chance of fatalities. Some subjects embrace their situation and strive to make their superiors happy, others despise the way they are treated and dream of freedom.

Again, that is just a simply summary; reading the comic will put you at the same level as understanding of this world as me. I plan to have a wider list of abilities than the ones shown in the comic and will be open to suggestions. I am also open-minded as far as a plotline is concerned; I have a few in mind and will likely have a pole if this RP generates enough interest.

Still reading the comic, but I like it so far. It's quite an interesting read!
