Gotham City(esque)

I've been watching the old Batman Movies (Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever) and I was thinking....how effing awesome is this??? Haha. I really don't have much love for Batman, but the city and the villians are so amazing I want to go live a life of craziness and crime. OK not really, but I'd love to RP it.

This interest check is to see if anyone would like to have some fun making our own Gotham City story. The only thing that would be recycled is the city itself, but I want new good guys, bad guys, officials, love interests, etc. I just want to play around here, this isn't supposed to be following any sort of comic or story line. We can even rename the city if anyone wants to. I just want some good old fashioned (but creative) twisted bad guys with some twisted good guys and a few helpless pawns for them to play with.

Is anyone interested? (keep in mind that we won't be claiming character types until the OOC, so don't join unless you are open to either good or bad role).

Great to have you all! I will leave this open for future members, but we should figure out a few details:

1. Do we want to stick with Gotham City?

2. Who is going to play what? Everyone go ahead and express what side you want to play and we'll figure it out from there. I will choose last so that I can hop on the less popular side.

3. We definitely want some civilians in this, but I understand if no one wants to be strictly a civilian...therefore, everyone can have a "superhero or villian" character and "civilian" character.

After we get this hammered out, I will put up an OOC.

Also, I am in love with Tim Burton so...the creepier the BETTER!

Villain.

Classic villains still have so much appeal to me. Bring it on heroes lol. ^_^

And Gotham is fine. Though do we want batman to have existed at some point or no?

I would prefer to play a villian, seeing as I am usually on the good side of things and never get to blow stuff up without saying 'Sorry'.

However, if the sides become too lopsided, I can always switch over.

It doesn't matter what the name of the city is, but if we do go with Gotham, then we can have it where Batman has died of old age or something, and new heroes and villians have sprung up to replace all the old. That's my opinion anyways.

Well, I'd like to play an anti-hero type. Vigilante might be a better term. Basically good that will do anything, even kill, for justice.

We could use Gotham, but this be a different "verse" so to speak. One where batman never existed.

I like both ideas, being after batman's reign or alternate universe. Not sure which I like better. Everyone can give their opinion and I'll figure it out tomorrow. My internet is screwy so this is it for tonight!

(On a serious note, I'd prefer evil((Since I never really get to be evil on this site)) I can swing a good guy if need be.)

Can't seem to have time on the computer today. With any luck I will have it done but not until late.

I was thinking, I could make a really awesome OOC intro if I already know who the major players are. Therefore, lets start making our characters! I will play an anti-hero, and Narubia and thecolorisred can decide what they want to be. The rest of you go on ahead with your choice of character. Also, feel free to create a side character (non hero/villian).

Keep in mind that most villians (and even heroes) are pretty much human. Try to keep with the esscence that is gotham city (i.e. I don't really want to see any wolverines or superman's here). I"ll start working on my character shortly.

Also keep in mind...has your character been around a long time? Do they even exist yet or do you want to role play the birth of their alter status? These details will add to the story tremendously.

Alrighty. For the sake of interest, I wouldn't mind playing a civilian character here, and maybe possibly a hero. That way, it can at least give you a civie point of view of most things.
