Jījìn Jiéjīngtĭ Shĭmìng (Radical Crystal MIssion) Interest Check

That is approximately what the title means based on outright translations. Anyhoo.
In slightly ancient China, back when magic was still strong on the earth, a great meteor crashed one day. Within it was an amazing crystal, seemingly able to endow those near with with above-human abilities, along with other things. Many a man tried to divine its potential, but most were unsuccessful. The only evident result were the contracts that could be formed, but we'll get back to that in some short time. A kingdom formed around the heavenly stone, and while magic was evident through the land, the king's advisers feared for the land. They had enemies before the period of prosperity, and they were growing in power. So the crystal was hidden deep in the mountains, with only the advisers and the royal family knowing.
Sadly, for the prosperous family that is, their enemies banded together, banishing the royal family and killing their closest allies. A new faction took over the land. But a prophecy remained, saying that a band of adventures, one descended from that royal family, could reclaim the crystal and thus reclaim the kingdom that had been stolen. But they have to get to it first, before the other group takes it and secures their usurpation of the land forever more.
75 years later, that time has come. Those that had first found the crystal are regaining their strength, and the one born of royal blood has come of age. It is time to take back what is theirs, or die trying. Huzzah!
