Wyclef Jean said what?

As of August 5th, 2010, Wyclef Jean has deposited his candidatry for the highest office in Haiti. The Fugee band member and soloist has done the dive, people; he has dove into politics.
He and 5 other candidates will run for Haiti's presidential office... now the worst part, or the best part and it depends how you look at it, is that he looks to be one of the, if not THEE, most popular choice. He is heralded as the 'messie', which is french for messiah. And lets just say that Haiti does not have a great track record when electing so-called 'saviours'. Immediately the election of the priest in 1990 comes to mind.
So, what do you guys think? Do you think the election of the pop artist Wyclef Jean as President of Haiti to be a good or bad thing?
