Survival of the Fittest

Introduction: You wake up on a white sandy beach, the sun beating down high in the sky. Blinking a few times your sit up and look around, questions start running though your head. Where am I? What's going on? Why can't I remember anything? The last thought sends your senses reeling. You quickly file though your head, trying to remember any piece of information; family, friends, home, names, but nothing comes to mind only your own name.
You finally notice some other people around you. They look just as dazed and confused. All that you have with you are the clothes on your back, and what looks to be some supplies scattered along the beach, the aftermath of a crash perhaps?

Plot: A certain number of castaways wake up one morning, finding themselves alone on a beach. Other than the trees, sand and few supplies they find along the beach and in their pockets, they are the only ones there. No matter how they try, they cannot register any memories other than their name and basic information about themselves. Neighbors, faces, family members and childhood memories have all seemed to disappear. The first few days are a blur but then survival instincts kick in the the castaways must fight for their lives.
What they don't know.
The castaways survival is being broadcasted all across the world for entertainment. Everywhere you go, their faces are plastered across billboards, signs and televisions. The survivors know nothing about being the most watched television series in the world, all they know is that they need to find a way to stay alive.
The mastermind behind the series is unknown, however is it known that he, or she, has a sick twists mind for entertainment. There are all types of tricks up the directors sleeve to keep the episodes coming and it is clear that what they have in mind is deeper than is being revealed. Though no one would voice it, it is clear that the people are enjoying the series.
