Why the heck are you up so late?

You all do, stay up for God knows how long wasting time on the internet. Maybe you're avoiding homework, the boyfriend, regular work, or just can't sleep. So tell me, WHY HAVEN'T YOU GOT TO BED YET?


I'm staying up so late for two reasons. I have nothing better to do, and I want to see how long I can stay awake before I start hallucinating.

I can't go to bed until later tonight! It's morning by now! XD

Last week, I stayed up because it was Thanksgiving break and I generally didn't even get home until around midnight each day. And after I got home, I usually ended up staying up a few more hours wasting time on the internet or doing other pointless things. I did attempt to go to bed around 1 in the morning, buuut the creative bug likes to attack at the worst possible times, and I've learned that if I don't listen to it now, it'll go away and it won't come back. So each night after going to bed, I got back up and would write until 2 or 3 in the morning, until the inspiration left.

For the past few days, I've still been staying up until 2 or so. Or rather, I stay up until I'm too dizzy to stay up any longer. That's because I have to make and sew shirts for my two Greek organizations, since they're gifts for people and I give the gifts very soon. It's taking a long time because I want to sew the letters on, and...I'm a very slow sewer. And I don't like sewing in the first place. I like to get distracted by anything and everything when it comes time to sit down and get it done. I'll probably be staying up even later tonight because the one shirt I'm working on, I'm giving to the person tomorrow night, and I've only got a third of it done (I've been working on it for one to two hours a day for the past two days).

Blech, who am I kidding. Everytime I vow to pull an all nighter, I just end up staying up until 9 am, then going to bed completely inverting my sleep schedule. Bedtime I guess.

Y'all really want to know why I am up this late, well alright then. My shall we say sleeping companion is a rather lackluster performer and is asleep at the moment. Not being tired myself I am wandering my household making a midnight snack and killing time till I feel tired.

This I can afford as I have the next three days off from official work.

I am up so late because of a sugar high and sheer boredom, lol

Up late because a long time ago, I decided to stay up all night waiting for someone to post and it just kinda spiraled out of control. Now I sleep whenever I'm tired, but that just happens to be during the day usually. It's too bothersome to break the habit when I really don't need to, so I just remain semi-nocturnal for now.

True that, I do that too.

I stay up late simply because it is what I have always done. I feel like I am wasting time if I go to bed anytime before midnight, though I typically can't make myself go to bed before 2 in the morning. During highschool I never went to bed before 3, or even 4 in the morning. Wasn't good for my grades, let me tell you. Ryona doesn't like my sleeping schedule though, so I am trying to change it.

I stay up so late (from 2:00pm to 6:00am) because I'm either working on base, or I'm keeping up with my sleep schedule.

Or I'm having fun with coding...

Until my Annual Training this year, I have pretty much no reason to keep a regular schedule. I suppose I'm enjoying my ability to stay up late, as I will be activated for training in May, then again for a year-long mission in July. At that time, I'll have to be awake and ready for duty by 7 in the morning each day. May as well make the most of being able to waste the days away when my car isn't acting up, or I don't have anything else to move into my new living quarters

Zombiepocalypse!

This thread hasn't really applied to me until fairly recently. I don't get home from work till around 10 pm, so I've been staying up later and later in order to just have more time in my day to do things I need or want to do. This has also given me the time I needed to start exercising again, so now I do some some stretching and situps and whatnot before bed.

I go to bed anywhere between 11:30 pm to 3:00 am. Between the time I get off work and go to sleep, I either do practical things like looking for a job and applying to places or taking some time to play Portal 2 or League of Legends, but every night now I exercise. It's proving to really be helpful, since all I do is sit all day long as a hostess to a restaurant.
