Hey, the name's sgt. tacoz, though that's the obvious part. I'm a little bit of a writer with standards I can never meet, so self trashing is bound to happen. . . a lot. Well I do enjoy reading a lot, and if I can find an rp with some people willing to put up with my posts then I might join in. Other than that, I'm just lurking and being envious of other people's writing skills.

If you're doubting your abilities, a Casual role-play is probably a good place to start. Or perhaps a One-on-One with an experienced player. I'm sure any of us would be happy to, as long as we're not tied up with other projects. Still, even if we're tied up, we'll definitely be more than happy to offer advice and coaching as much as you'd like. If you're serious about writing and role-playing, you're in the perfect place for painless development and good times.

Welcome to FOG! Kalon and Fate are right; no need for all the self-trashing! Constructive criticism is fine, but don't sell yourself short. Allow me to echo Kalon's advice of checking out the Casual RP section if you want to get your feet wet. Also, the Critiques section is the perfect place to get feedback on any personal writing projects that you're working on.

There isn't anything for me to say about the self-trashing that hasn't been said already except that we are all perhaps guilty of it from time to time.

And as I believe Kalon stated, don't be afraid to jump right in. Maybe start in the non-roleplay boards and get to know a few fellow FOGgers. We're pretty nice people. :]

Don't be afraid to start in a casual roleplay though! Or a 1x1. I'm sure you can find one that you can jump into without too much difficulty.

I disagree! Self-trashing is the KEY to why I am such an amazing writer! Now, I take you underground to see What steps I take to ensure my soul is most thoroughly trashed.

*A darked room with a single over head, 60 watt lightbulb shining on a chair. A soul is tied to this chair*

Dio, "Alright soul, it's time for you to produce some writing."

Soul shakes its head.

Dio, "Ah, a wise guy huh? Well, how about we soften you up."

Dio pulls out a baseball bat and starts wacking away at his soul.

Dio, "This hurts me, in equal quantity that it hurts you. SInce you're my soul and everything."

Soul used splash, but nothing happened.

Dio, "Fighting back huh? Well I'll show you!"

Dio dumps gasoline on his soul, and lights it on fire.

Dio, "Ah! That burns!"

Dio flails around on the floor in pain for an hour or so, then goes on to write a pultzer winning story. He even finds time to welcome Sgt. Tacoz to the boards!
