It appears that the permissions are a bit off-set; or perhaps Axiom and Fate have good reason to have them set that way for right now. Hmm, really? It appears to be working for both Axiom and I. Perhaps the permissions were changed suddenly somehow if it is not working for anyone else.

Hmm, I'm not sure why the link isn't working for everyone. We didn't change the permissions. In fact, I don't recall seeing any settings for those links. Possibly a forumotion issue (I feel like I'll be saying that often). Let me know if it keeps giving an error.

The page says:

Seeing as Fate and Axiom can both see the page, and ordinary members cannot, it is certainly indicative of a permission issue.

While you may not have altered the settings yourself, individual boards are constantly being updated from their master server, and certain updates can inadvertently alter permissions.

You can probably rectify this problem yourself, via the preferences section of the ACP.

Well as they said, they haven't changed the permissions, and they don't appear to have changed. Also, from my own experience with messing with the permissions, if any of the pre-search indexes (meaning pages that are generated based on a specific, predetermined search query, such as the "active topics" or "unanswered topics" indexes) have a particular permission setting designated, then they all have that setting. However, we can obviously access all of these other indexes, as well as the actual search utility and board statistics. Thus, I would have to agree with Axiom that this may another FFU (Forumotion Fuck-Up). Hmm... I think I'll submit that to Urban Dictionary.

Okay, scratch everything I just said; apparently when I manually went to the search page (http:// ...../search.forum) it said the same thing (ACCESS DENIED BITCH!) and I'm all like WTF HOMMIE?!

*ahem* *cough* Anywho, double check the permissions for searching and see if that's the problem. Though I have no clue why on earth it's letting us use the standard predetermined search indexes.

Alright, well this is VERY strange indeed.

Both Axiom and I have double checked the permissions, and registered users do in fact have authorization to view the statistics online, so I'm not sure why this is happening. However, I DO know and do find it worth mentioning that it was only just a few days ago (a week at most) that I myself, even as Administrator, could not view the active topics or today's top posters. I was wondering why that was, but obviously I just figured it was Forumotion having issues. I assume that is still the case, as this is dealing with the same exact problem, only with members not being able to view them now.

I should go learn about Forumotion. I feel absolutely useless. XD

Same error, but as we've already determined, it seems to be a general thing. In other news though--that forum statistics link says I'm the 6th Top Posting User this week. Say whaa--? Lol. Kinda cool.

Did you find a solution or did the FFU eventually pass along like a kidney stone?

We were trying to get rid of the usergroups and search buttons at the top (in preparation for the new theme), and I made it so that both no longer show (as you may have noticed), which thereby inadvertently took away all the permissions everyone had to view those features and everything connected to them. Finally, Axiom was able to deduce that that was the issue we were experiencing.

As for why I myself couldn't view the latest topics and today's top posters for a few days recently, who knows.

Yup, I was able to hide them with some code trickery so there wasn't any reason to change settings for them in the administration panel anymore. It's weird how changing the setting for one thing has an effect on other things.
