What happened to user status?

I went to update my status and couldn't find the place in the profile anymore. Now I can't find it on anyone's profile anymore. What happened?

Ah I knew I forgot to mention one little thing in the Small Update thread. I deleted it. People were complaining that the mini profiles (the profile under your avatar when you post) were getting too cluttered, and I figured it'd be useless inside your main profile, since most people aren't going to check each others profiles often enough to keep updated.

I'd rather have multiple icons for our social networks and other websites we own visible in the mini-profiles than a so-called "status" field. Icons are smaller and, as you can see, any "contact" icons used in profiles are put into one line (obviously breaking off into a second line should you have multiple methods of contact). I think making icons for the Twitter, Facebok, and MySpace fields would be more beneficial. I'd be happy to volunteer some icons from my own collection that I think look "FOG-y"; however, I'm not sure how they will look on the new FoG 2.0 theme that's about to be released.

Ok. Was just wondering what was going on. As long as its all for making a better FoG I'm cool with it.

Oh that night be a good idea. I'm not sure if I can get those to show up in mini profiles though. I'll have to check when I get home. (I'm at work on my cell phone right now.) You could send those images over anyway if you want just so Axiom & I could see if they'll work.

Actually, aren't they already displayed in people's mini profiles? At the very bottom? All those icons.

Ohh, that's what you meant! That's because I added Facebook. Twitter, and personal website for people to fill out. I can't remember now, but I think mayhem all website addresses all have the same icon, but I could be wrong. Again, I'll have to check on it when I get home.

The personal website was there before. I think it's just Facebook and Twitter that, being added now, don't yet have their own custom button. Or something.

I do kind of miss the statuses.

I wonder if it would be possible to make them editable from anywhere on the site...

I actually didn't like the statuses that much. I almost never read them, but I also noticed that at times when I did read them, those who used them frequently forgot to update them, so they were out of date most of the time. It just seemed useless and cluttery. I'm fine with the titles and everything else.

*shrug* I guess there's always Facebook Google+. ^_^
