Soyeah, rereading Scott's books didn't last as long as I thought, only because I became interested in finally reading the latest book in the Bloody Jack series (Rapture of the Deep), which I have owned for quite some time and just...never got around to reading.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through it by now, though (especially after I ended up reading in bed for about two hours last night!). It's not my favorite in the series, but it's fairly decent.

I'm reading "The Catcher in The Rye" by J.D. Salinger. I don't think I need to explain what the book is. It's pretty controversial and well-known.

I accepted the Fifty Book Challenge today, which, for those who don't know, is the challenge to read fifty books in one year or 365 days. I think I can do it. In fact, I know I can.

Anyway, I expect to be reading a lot to meet the challenge. I'm almost done with Catcher already.

I'm rereading the Tamuli series by David Eddings...kinda. The only time I've read them was in Sweden like eight years back. So I'm not counting that as rereading frankly. ^^ And I'm also in the 50 book challenge and I might be able to read 100 books in a year. Smile
I'm currently at the second book - The Shining Ones, since I just finished the first one ten minutes ago. ^^

I'm doing that too, Miss Dagger. I just started it yesterday! I finished "The Catcher in the Rye" and now I am reading "The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster."

I haven't read so much in such a long time. It used to be I always had a book in my hands. But I think I can do this challenge no problem.

I have to read fiction books everyday (at least about an hour) to keep my mood stable. I don't know what it is about books, but nothing else can relax me as they can. And if I don't read for several days I start to get moody and stuff. So for everyone else's and my sake I read.

I read the prologue to The Shining Ones yesterday.

I like David and Leigh Eddings's books. My favorite is the Redemption of Althalus. Smile

It used to be you never saw me without my nose in a book. I'm not as bad now, mostly because I just don't have time to do so.

I'm still reading "The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster", but I hope to finish it this morning and move on to "The Wish List" by Eoin Colfer.

Hmm. Eddings... That sounds really, really familiar to me. I'm thinking of a particular fantasy series. There's quite a few books in it, but I might be misplacing the name. It's ringing a bell but I can't think of who it is specifically. Huh.

Probably Belgariad or Mallearon (Sp...). Or possibly the Dreamers. Those are the other series David and Leigh Eddings have written (you'll mostly see only David's name though, because women authors didn't get published much, but new print runs of the books have Leigh's (his wife) name too). He also have the books about Belgarath and Polgara. And a codex (I don't remember the name that goes before codex in the book title) with assorted notes about Belgaraid and Mallearon (sp still..)

I think it's the Belgaraid, actually. That sounds right. I'm recognizing the name.

I just started reading C.S. Lewis' "Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold." I'm getting ahead with a couple books for one of my fall classes because we'll have a lot of them (luckily the two longest 309 and around 400 pages are two that he said might be good to read to get ahead on). The story is a twist on the myth regarding the love of Psyche and Cupid, though this is retold from the perspective of Psyche's oldest (and ugly) sister. It's great so far, and I'm on page 77 or 78 I think.

Though I typically don't approach war stories with enthusiasm, Tim O'Brien's Going After Cacciato is holding my attention well enough.

I'm reading the last book in David and Leigh Eddings's Tamuli series, The Hidden City.

It's very good so far. Maybe just too much hopping from person to person, but slowly they are brought together again.

House of Leaves? :3 Yay.

I've been meaning to read that book for a long, long time now. It's interested me ever since my friend tried convincing me to read it.

While you're still unable to sleep, I highly, highly recommend you listen to the album "Haunted", by Poe, which was supposedly written in order to relate to House of Leaves.

I'm still trying to work my way through The Alchemyst. Hrm.

Well, they DO relate. After all, did you check out the name on Poe's one and only artist? It's the sister of the author of House of Leaves. The two wouldn't exist without the other, they play and bounce off in constant erratic fashion.

I am currently reading World War Z, by Max Brooks. It is an amazing book, and one that could be loved by any zombie fan. It combines history, journalism, and...well...zombies! Instant win! I'm looking forward to the film, if they ever make it. Hopefully it doesn't end up like Halo did Sad

I am now reading Aesop's Fables. It is an entertaining read so far, as well as informative. It is sad that something so historically important, or at least prevalent, I've never even heard of or paid any attention to. Oh well...I'm still only 22.

There are nearly 300 fables in the book, and I just started it. Some of them I don't get, but some are really quite entertaining Smile

I'm reading Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett. I think the title is correctly spelled. Beside the face that it doesn't have chapters (I would have loved more easily spotted breaks) it's a great book. I'm sure I'm missing more than half the word jokes though. Would probably get them better if I picked up a Swedish translation since the translator of the Terry Pratchett books is actually very good at translating the jokes, either literally or into a similar Swedish word joke.
