New Animorphs: First Night

Name: Lewis

Age: 17

Appearance: He has the body of a athletic runner and can run pretty fast for long distances. One reason for this is that he is six feet tall and has a long stride. He has short brown hair dull crystal green eyes. His eyes are always covered by sunglasses which has earned him the nickname ‘shades’. His face would look like your average kid if he didn’t have the Ray Charles style sunglasses on all the time.

Personality: Lewis usually doesn’t start conversations with people. He would much rather not have anyone ask him about his glasses. He is a rather kind person once you get to know him. He is very dedicated to whatever he puts his mind to and absolutely loves reading. He is usually seen reading some book or another to escape from his reality. He is very good at history and English. He is decent at math, Science, and gym. He does try to show off a bit in class because knowledge is the only thing he has in common with his fellow students. He has no idea what he wants to do with his life after High School because he is so focused on surviving the social life then anything else. One thing that has always fascinated him was animals. He would read a lot about different animals and has thought somewhat on becoming a veterinarian. People tend to make up ridiculous rumors about him because no one knows much about him. It annoys him to no end when people walk up to him and ask him what gang he is a member of.

Then there is the other side to him. The side only the Animorphs see. He is a courageous person who would rather be the last one out of a fight than the first one to run. He was second in command before the morphing cube mission. His natural interest in animals made him the expert when selecting morphs for missions. Now he is the only one left with leadership skills. He is also decent at thinking up tactics.

History: What he remembers starts at the age of 5. He was in a terrible car accident which caused serious damage to his vision. His brain swelled and the nerves were damaged. This is also the reason for no memory before the crash. He has what his doctors called achromatopsia. To him it means that he has to wear sunglasses everywhere and can only see in three colors (Black, White and lots of Grey). His immediate family died that day but he doesn’t miss them. It’s hard to miss people you don’t remember. His grandparents on his mother’s side took him in. They live on a farm out away from the city. He grew up with hard work and dedication on whatever job was at hand. Because he did live on a farm he had a lot of practice running from one place to another to cut down on time for his choirs. With his grandparents being retired teachers he was home schooled until he went to High School. Once he hit High School things changed. Everyone at first thought he was some kind of rebel wearing sunglasses all the time. All his teachers demanded he take them off before they found out about his vision impairment. He didn’t really fit in because everyone kept asking about his vision and he didn’t like talking about it. He closed himself off and for the last few years didn’t really get to know anyone. He usually reads or studies in his free time.

All that was before he met with a dying Andalite who gave him the power to morph. Since that time he has changed slightly when it comes to the public appearance but in private live he has changed drastically. He quickly was chosen to be second in command because of his leadership skills and ability to tactically think his way through situations. He has proven himself many times to be a capable warrior on the 13 missions the original crew went on. For the last mission it had been his plan to split into 2 teams. On the morphing cube mission he was one of only two survivors. The secret identities of the surviving Animorphs were maintained due to all of the missing members being killed instead of captured. His part of the mission was to make sure the blue box was secured and taken from the battle. Brandon and Lewis were the only ones who survived.

Name: Brandon Jameson

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Appearance:
Brandon stands at five feet and nine inches tall. He plays midfielder on his high school soccer team, so he is very skinny, but has a toned muscle structure. His hair is naturally red and his eyes are a dull shade of dark green. Poor eyesight requires him to wear a pair of wire framed black glasses.

Personality:
Brendon gets picked on... A lot. His love for theater, soccer, and choir leaves him out of the "cool kid" circle, but he tends to brush off the attempts at verbal abuse pretty easily. Despite the animosity toward him, he is a very easy going person who has the ability to make friends easily. Science, especially biology has always been his favorite subject, although he does do well in most subjects (other than history) without having to put to much effort into studying. His keen interest in science is what lead him to accept the position of animorph.

Brendan is very gung-ho about everything with which he is involved. Sitting around and doing nothing is never acceptable... He fills up every moment of down time with either running or trying to start some philosophical debate with whoever is nearest to him.

Character’s History:
Brandon comes from a loving family. His father is a veterinarian at the local pet hospital and his mother is a rather successful surgeon at the county hospital. He lives in a rather large house outside the city, because his parents 'love the country feel' of their ranch style home. Not that they spend much time there as they are often gone for days leaving Brandon to fend for himself. He often takes advantage of this by going out at night or having his team spend the night when he can.

With both of his parents in the medical field in some form, they are very wealthy and like to show it when they can. For Brandon's 16th birthday they offered to buy him any car he wanted, but Brandon turned the offer down in place of a high-end laptop and a second- hand scooter. Brandon is actually rather uncomfortable with his parents being so wealthy. He would prefer not to flaunt their riches and have people pretending to like him to try and get a free ride in a nice car or hope to get a cool Christmas present. Sometimes to the outside world, it seems that Brandon prefers to be an outsider. He thinks life is a lot less hurtful that way.

He had a very close group of friends until recently who knew about his private life of luxury, but they also knew a much bigger secret. On the night he was chosen to be an animorph he felt an immediate bond to his teammates. Keeping his own skills in observation, he quickly took on the unspoken role of scout for his team. For this reason, he has become particularly fond of his Peregrine Falcon morph. He often feels more comfortable riding the wind than he does in his own human skin. Of the 13 missions his team went on, he didn't see much action. He spent most of his time up in the air trying to send his team valuable information they could use against their adversaries. On their final mission, Lewis chose Brandon to help secure the box and transport it to safety. The rest of the team died that night, and Brandon is still trying to recover from the loss.

Name: Rori O’Connell

Race: Human: Irish

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Appearance:
5’2” and 124 lbs. Dimensions are 34-20-36. Rori has green eyes that are enhanced by colored contacts. Her hair is light auburn but she keeps it dyed to a dark brown. Rori tends to wear tight fitted clothing with a leather jacket and leather boots. Her hair is just beyond shoulder length and curly, she usually wears it in a pony-tail or a loose bun.

Personality:
Rori has always been a take-charge kind of person. She liked being the first one in the action. Her natural sense of curiosity and adventure made caution difficult for her. When she was twelve, she moved to America to live with a relative rather than her constantly traveling geologist parents. Rori started taking martial arts classes; she spent all of her time after school practicing Capoeira. Regular training taught her something very important. It gave her the skill of holding back; looking at the bigger picture and learning from it. Although she’s still a very forward teenager, she’s learned to apply a little more logic to her actions.

Character’s History:
Rori was born in Athlone, Ireland with her step-mother Annamaria and her father Richard. By the time Rori was two years old, her parents went back to their old habit of moving from country to country, studying interesting geological sites. When Rori was twelve, she got sick of moving around, she was only ever able to stay in Athlone for a few months at a time. It was then, that she decided to would move in with her grandparents in America. They didn’t like it, but her parents allowed the move anyway. As soon as she got into town Rori enrolled into Capoeira lessons mostly so she’d have an excuse not to attend after-school activities. She followed this plan every year until she was sixteen when she was no longer able to keep studying Capoeira at the same level, and she couldn’t afford the next level classes.
