That's not a book, is it?
Unless Pooh's Grand Adventure: the Search for Christopher Robin is from a book. Or unless that line is stolen from somebody else's book. Shocked
Well, regardless, that movie is the only place I know that line from, and that's not a book. Very Happy

Heyyy.... were you inspired by the quote in my little "status" thingy over there? *points to the right*

"He seemed to be so young, a cub, a puppy, something helpless and beaten, a creature so sunk in misery that it was more misery than creature. His eyes never left [her] face, and [he] could see her making herself not look away, not avoid the guilt, and he admired her honesty and her courage at the same time as he was wrenched with the shock of their parting. There were so many vivid currents of feeling between them that the very air felt electric to him."

No, it was in a Winnie the Pooh book. My grandparents have it at there house and they always used to read it to us...Being as I'm now living there, I read the book again for the first time in 10 years, and saw the quote.

If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart.. I’ll always be with you.

That is the full quote.

Can i do one? if it's all right...

I prop myself on one elbow. There's enough light in the bedroom to see them. My little sister, ___, curled up on her side, cocooned in my mother's body, their cheeks pressed together. In sleep, my mother looks younger, still worn but not so beaten-down.

i blanked out her name to make it not so obvious

Angela's Ashes or The Grapes of Wrath are what that makes me think of. Unfortunately, I have never read Angela's Ashes, only seen the movie, and I didn't really pay much attention to The Grapes of Wrath, so I can't quite picture that scene anywhere. But those are my guesses.

Since I have given my answer, I am going to research it and see if I am right Wink

Edit: Nope, never heard of or read that book. Embarassed

Hmmm, no idea here - I'll leave it to someone more knowledgeable. In the mean time, I'll drop off a quote I really like:

When I was young, I had to choose between the life of being and the life of doing. And I leapt at the latter like a trout to a fly. But each deed you do, each act, binds you to itself and to its consequences, and makes you act again and yet again. Then very seldom do you come upon a space, a time like this, between act and act, when you may stop and simply be. or wonder who, after all, you are.

Hint #0: This should be easily recognisable to most fantasy fans.
